UPDATE - WMLFN Legacy Trust Amendment

Dear Members,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to learn about the proposed changes to the Legacy Trust Agreement and participate in the ratification vote.

The proposed amendment did not receive the required level of support to be ratified. The amendment received 93.5% support, falling approximately 1.5% short of the 95% threshold required for ratification.

We recognize that many members have questions, concerns, and ideas regarding the proposed amendment, and we want you to know that we hear you and are listening. We sincerely appreciate everyone who took the time to vote and share their thoughts and perspectives throughout this process.

Chief and Council are now taking time to reflect on the results of the vote and the feedback we have received. At the same time, we recognize that many of our members and families are facing increased financial pressures due to inflation, tariffs, and the rising cost of everyday necessities.

Chief and Council will continue to explore available options and will keep our membership informed as decisions are made and plans move forward.

We encourage members to continue sharing their thoughts and feedback with us. Your voice matters, and we value your participation as we work together to strengthen our community and support one another.
